Westchester County, NY

Westchester County is the second-most populous county in mainland Downstate New York area.  Covering 450 square miles, it is located just north of the New York City line and Bronx County. The Putnam county seat is the city of White Plains, while the most populous municipality is the city of Yonkers.  Located between the Hudson River and the Long Island Sound, the county shares a border with Putnam County to the north and Fairfield County, CT, to the east.  Due to its close proximity to New York City and prevalence of affluent suburbs, multiple Fortune 500 companies call Westchester home, including MasterCard, PepsiCo, IBM, and the ITT Corporation.
